What was ' Daily Deeds ' all about?
'Daily Deeds' was a project that I started with two close friends; Russell Ward and Skyler Brungardt.
The idea started off very simply with a question Russell asked one February night in 2011:
"Why aren't there more places online where people can go and share the good things that they do for each other?"
The question sparked a thought which set fire to my imagination. That night the three of us brainstormed for ways to help share positivity, love, and good actions with not only the people we knew, or the people we might meet along the way, but with everyone in the world.
It felt like the hand of fate was nudging us in the right direction and had set us up with all the right tools. Skyler -- the brilliant UX Web Designer; Russell -- the man with the wisdom to ask the right questions; Shaun -- the man with the business background and will to get it done.
We decided on a name, launched a 'splash page' website within the month, and started spreading the idea one by one.
"See Good. Do Good. Share Good. -- Social Networking for Good (Not Evil)"
Unfortunately egos got in the way and a simple idea became complicated by divergent ideas and (sadly) wildly opposing ethical beliefs.
'Daily Deeds' may be back one day. It deserves to be. It just needs the right people to agree and work hard to make it happen... the right way.
